Dawn models for me in the studio, I later add clothing. I use clothing with textures of lace, plastic, shiny synthetics and fur. This is part of my graded 'Six' One of six concepts called 'See Through'

Paris.

Paris 'Element' store opening.

Two weeks spent in Paris in the springtime was something very special. An all expense paid trip to the capital was funded by the Leonardo Da Vinci, European Commissions fund. 
Plenty of time to get lost, try new things and take hundreds of photos with like minded people. The weather was on our side, the location was in the heart of the Bastille, the reason was to shoot a self initiated documentary. Amongst many other photographs of people, places, textures and fun, I have finally made a selection of images to submit. Below is a series of black and white images looking at life around the River Seine. From the banks, bridges and boats. On foot and on bike, morning, noon and night...

 

Friends Are Friends

 Left to right: Nick Paterson, Euan Urquhart, Kelvin Purdom and Alan Fraser. This is a band shoot for 'Friends Are Friends' an Edinburgh based band. A very simple set up using bare flash and having a cut and paste play about. When busy, it's all about the simple! 

Prada

After photographing translucent bottles recently for an advertising brief, I have played with this proffered Prada bottle image. The first is not as tidy as the one below. I have played with the contrast of close up and distance within the ad. Thanks to Lee from a shoot last year and Caitlin a couple of weeks ago. Looking fairly fresh still Lee!

Woodland Wonder.

This was the third attempt to shoot this series of images due to the lack of sunshine recently during the weekends. We had a small window on Saturday morning before the clouds filled the sky! Very lucky and a very smooth shoot indeed. Jenny and Hannah posed in very little in the cold, well done girls and a huge thank you again. All images were lit with the sun, aided with a few clever angles of a silver reflector, thanks my excellent assistant Mhairi.

A little practice with water and light gels in the studio today. A very simple ad; one still shot taken with three layered gels on a softbox underneath a fish tank. A little bit of splish splash and lights from above.

Shannon models one of three images in the series. All images follow the brief; floral, feminine and soft. Saturated colour to create pastels that are warm and delicate.  Image style to suit Karen Millen clothing.
